Which Path

When they say they don't understand,

there are two paths I can take.

The first is to learn.  If they don't

understand, perhaps it's because I'm not

expressing myself clearly.  Maybe I need

to alter my ways to conform to their way

of thinking, so there will be no barrier

between myself and them.

The second is to teach.  If they don't

understand, maybe I need to explain

more carefully what I'm trying to say,

and reinforce it with many examples, until

it becomes more clear to them.

Which path to take depends on many

personal factors and their different

levels:

Guts

Ego

Strength

Will

Natural Ability

Based on all of these,

I decide which path to take.

I varies from day to day,

but I'd rather teach.
