It’s time to go inside.

I’ve been hagin’ out on the outside far too long.

There’s been

much that has tried

to pull me

in there.

And indeed, I’ve

Accepted the invite

Many times.

But I always

Leave

to quickly,

Afraid to get my

Hands burned

By the hot intensity

Of the deep.

Afraid that

Once I get inside,

I’ll discover that I was

Better off

Out in the cold.

But I’ve

Lived out in the cold,

For a long time now.

It ain’t gettin’ me

Nowhere.

Unless I start takin’

Some chances, I ain’t

Never gonna know.

So:

It’s time to go inside.
